Oil Changes, Tire Rotations and More at Audi Fort Lauderdale Service's Department

When you come home from work in Miami or beyond, the last thing you want to have to worry about is maintaining your car. That's why so many people trust mechanics to do the work under the hood for them. As for whom you should trust with such a lofty task? Finding a reputable mechanic can be hard. That is, of course, unless you simply turn to Audi Fort Lauderdale, serving Boca Raton and Pembroke Pines.

We maintain a well-trained auto service and repair department that has only one goal in mind: making sure your Audi runs as efficiently as possible. Because we consider every Audi A3, A4, Q3, Q5 and Q7 on the road to be a reflection of our dealership, we want to help you get the most out of every mile.

Achieving that goal means taking the time to know every model in the Audi lineup, as well as only utilizing parts that are approved by the OEM -- the very same ones that were originally used to assemble your Audi A3, A4, Q3, Q5 or Q7 in the first place.

Service Tips from the Experts in Fort Lauderdale

At Audi Fort Lauderdale, we often get asked about service and what it takes to maintain the illustrious quality of your cherished Audi sedan or SUV. Whether you live in Fort Lauderdale or you're just here to outlast the frigid winter conditions, our team can help ensure you get back on the roads safely once it gets warmer outside.

Routine maintenance – including oil changes, tire rotations, and coolant flushes – is especially important as you transition from driving during the winter into the spring. These services will help your Audi stay strong and healthy as you take on the roads when the weather gets warmer.

Florida drivers who spend most of the winter basking in the sunshine need to ensure their vehicle is ready for the roads this spring. To do so, we recommend prioritizing getting an oil change, rotating your tires, and checking all fluids under the hood.
There are many variables that determine how often an oil change is needed (climate, drive time, highway or city street driving, etc.) and you should refer to the Scheduled Maintenance section in your vehicle's owner's manual. However, we typically recommend getting your oil changed at least every 5,000 miles. Depending on how often you drive, it’s important to regulate your Audi's oil change to ensure you don't miss any oil change intervals. Doing so may result in engine failure or permanent powertrain damage.
Synthetic motor oils can be a good choice for high output, turbocharged or supercharged engines. Or for vehicles that are used for towing (especially during hot weather), and vehicles that operate in extremely cold or hot climates. Although more expensive than mineral-based oils, synthetic motor oils can improve fuel economy and provide longer intervals between changes.
Milky brown engine oil is an indication of coolant in the oil. This can be caused by a blown head gasket (or other gasket), a failed transmission cooler, or cracked casings. This condition is very serious and needs to be checked by a professional technician immediately.
Rotating the tires on your Audi is an important service that should be administered at least twice per year, at every other oil change, or every 6,000 miles. Be sure to check your tires for tread or any damages before rotating your tires to ensure your current wheels are still in good condition. Neglecting to rotate tires is a major cause of premature tire wear.
Battery cables and terminals should be cleaned and inspected periodically to make sure they provide a good electrical connection.
To help ensure dependable, trouble-free performance, replace your car's fuel filter approximately every 30,000 miles or as recommended in your vehicle's owner's manual.
For maximum fuel economy and peak engine performance, your spark plugs should be replaced every 30 months or 30,000 miles.
There are many sensors and computerized components that manage your vehicle's engine performance and emissions. When one of these fails, the "check engine" light is illuminated. Although your car may seem to run fine, it is important to have the issue addressed to prevent long-term problems.
Inspect and replace belts regularly. The belt system in your car helps such things as your alternator and air conditioning compressor to operate correctly. When a belt breaks, they can cause costly damage. To avoid this, inspect them regularly for wear. If they are showing signs, go ahead and replace them before they become a problem.
This is a very serious problem ? if your car overheats for too long, you can damage your engine. As soon as possible, find a safe place to pull off the road and shut the engine off! Do not attempt to check the fluid level in the radiator; the hot fluid can cause severe burns. The best thing to do is have your car towed to your local Audi Dealership.
